Shipping policy
SHIPPING & FLOWER DELIVERY POLICY
Effective date: July 24, 2026
At Lone Star Bloom, we believe that flowers should travel through emotions—not spend unnecessary days inside a shipping box. We accept orders from customers around the world and arrange delivery to available destinations through a combination of direct fulfillment, professional couriers, and local floral partners.
This policy explains how floral gifts and related products purchased through bloomlone.com are prepared and delivered.
1. Our Worldwide Delivery Model
Lone Star Bloom operates from Houston, Texas, and serves customers internationally where delivery is available.
Depending on the recipient’s location and the type of product ordered, an arrangement may be:
- Prepared directly by Lone Star Bloom;
- Hand-delivered by a local courier;
- Created by a trusted florist near the recipient;
- Shipped through a third-party delivery carrier; or
- Fulfilled using a combination of local and international service providers.
Fresh flowers are generally prepared as close to the recipient as reasonably possible. This helps protect freshness and reduces unnecessary international transportation of perishable flowers.
Delivery availability is confirmed during checkout or after the order is reviewed. If we cannot serve the selected destination, we will contact the customer and offer an alternative, store credit, or a refund.
2. Preparation and Delivery Times
Each floral order is prepared individually. Preparation and delivery times may vary according to:
- The recipient’s country and location;
- Seasonal flower availability;
- The selected arrangement;
- The date and time the order is submitted;
- Local florist and courier availability;
- Weekends and public holidays;
- Customs requirements for non-floral products;
- Weather and transportation conditions; and
- High-demand occasions.
Same-day or next-day delivery may be offered in certain locations when an order is placed before the applicable local cutoff time. Availability is not guaranteed until the order has been accepted and assigned for fulfillment.
A requested delivery date is a preference unless the product page or order confirmation expressly identifies it as guaranteed.
3. Peak Floral Holidays
Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, Easter, International Women’s Day, and other regional celebrations create exceptionally high demand.
During peak periods:
- Orders may be delivered earlier or later than the preferred time;
- Exact delivery windows may not be available;
- Some flowers, containers, or decorative elements may be substituted;
- Same-day service may be limited; and
- Contactless delivery may be used when appropriate.
We recommend placing holiday orders as early as possible.
4. Natural Variation and Floral Substitutions
Flowers are natural, seasonal products. No two stems or arrangements are completely identical.
The arrangement delivered may differ slightly from website photographs in:
- Flower size and stage of bloom;
- Shade or color intensity;
- Stem length;
- Greenery;
- Arrangement shape;
- Container design; and
- Decorative materials.
When a specific flower, color, or container is unavailable, we may make a thoughtful substitution using an item of comparable style, quality, and value. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve the overall mood, color palette, and character of the selected design.
For arrangements built around one distinctive flower, we will attempt to contact the customer before making a major substitution. If time-sensitive delivery makes contact impractical, our florist may use professional judgment to avoid missing the occasion.
5. Delivery Information
The customer is responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information, including:
- Recipient’s full name;
- Street address;
- Apartment, suite, unit, or building number;
- Postal code;
- Recipient’s local phone number;
- Business, hotel, hospital, or venue name, if applicable;
- Delivery date; and
- Entry instructions or access codes.
We may contact the customer or recipient to clarify the address, coordinate access, or complete delivery. Such contact may be necessary even when the customer requests a surprise delivery.
We are not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incomplete, inaccurate, or inaccessible delivery information.
6. Delivery to Homes and Apartments
If the recipient is unavailable, the courier or florist may, when reasonably safe and permitted:
- Leave the order with a doorman, concierge, reception desk, or neighbor;
- Place it in a sheltered location at the address;
- Contact the recipient to arrange delivery;
- Leave delivery instructions; or
- Return the order to the local florist or facility.
Because flowers are perishable, redelivery may require an additional fee. A replacement cannot be guaranteed when delivery fails because the recipient is unavailable or access to the property is restricted.
7. Businesses, Hotels, Hospitals, and Venues
For deliveries to businesses, hotels, hospitals, schools, event venues, and similar locations, delivery may be considered complete when the order is accepted by an authorized receptionist, front desk, mailroom, security employee, event coordinator, or facility representative.
Customers are responsible for confirming that the location accepts floral deliveries.
Hospitals may restrict flowers in certain units, including intensive care areas. Hotels may require the recipient’s reservation name and arrival details. If a facility refuses the delivery, we will attempt to contact the customer to discuss available options.
8. International Orders
International flower delivery is subject to the customs, traditions, availability, holidays, and operating practices of the destination country.
Local florists may use regionally available flowers and materials. Arrangement dimensions, flower varieties, wrapping styles, and presentation may differ from those shown on the website while remaining comparable in overall value and design.
Prices may include local fulfillment and international coordination costs. Currency conversion fees, bank charges, customs duties, taxes, and import fees for eligible non-floral products may be the responsibility of the customer or recipient unless checkout states otherwise.
Some products cannot be delivered to certain countries because of agricultural, customs, transportation, or local legal restrictions.
9. Delivery Charges
Delivery fees are displayed during checkout when available. Charges may vary according to:
- Destination;
- Delivery date;
- Distance;
- Product size;
- Delivery speed;
- Local courier rates;
- International coordination costs; and
- Peak-holiday demand.
If an unusual destination requires an additional fee that could not reasonably be calculated at checkout, we will contact the customer for approval before proceeding.
10. Tracking and Delivery Confirmation
Traditional tracking may not be available for arrangements delivered by local florists or local couriers.
When available, we may provide:
- A carrier tracking number;
- A courier status update;
- Confirmation from the local florist; or
- Electronic delivery confirmation.
Delivery confirmation does not always include a photograph or the name of the person who accepted the arrangement.
11. Weather and Events Beyond Our Control
Flowers are sensitive to heat, cold, storms, and transportation delays. Delivery may be postponed, redirected, or canceled when conditions create a risk to people, flowers, or transportation services.
Lone Star Bloom is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, carrier interruptions, strikes, government actions, public emergencies, customs delays, road closures, or local security restrictions.
We will nevertheless make reasonable efforts to find the best available solution.
12. Delivery Concerns
If flowers arrive damaged, significantly wilted, or materially different from the confirmed order, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of delivery.
Include:
- The order number;
- Recipient’s name;
- Delivery date;
- A description of the concern; and
- Clear photographs of the flowers and packaging.
Because flowers are perishable, prompt notice allows us to review the situation fairly. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer care guidance, replacement flowers, redelivery, store credit, a partial refund, or a full refund.
Normal variation, minor substitutions, natural imperfections, and changes caused by improper care after delivery are not considered defects.
13. Order Changes and Cancellations
Requests to change or cancel an order should be submitted immediately.
We cannot guarantee a cancellation or modification after:
- Flowers have been purchased or cut;
- The arrangement has entered production;
- A local florist has accepted the order;
- A courier has been scheduled; or
- The order has left for delivery.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the customer’s financial institution.
